I’m running for county commissioner because our community deserves leadership that puts people first — not party power, not slogans, but real, practical solutions that make life better for families, seniors, and small businesses. I never planned to run for office.
In fact, I’ve long avoided politics. I dislike the noise, the posturing, and the way public life can strip away honest conversation.
I decided to step forward because refusing to act felt like endorsing what has been happening in our county and across our country.
What pushed me into this arena was not ambition — it was alarm. Over the last few years I have watched a party led by Republican officials embrace policies and rhetoric that I believe are cruel: cutting vital services for the most vulnerable, vilifying neighbors who don’t fit a narrow mold, and prioritizing political theater over steady governance. Those choices aren’t abstract — they have a human cost. I’ve seen families struggle when services were slashed, students left behind when schools were underfunded, neighbors treated as political targets rather than fellow citizens and citizens murdered by criminals appointed by our own president.
That cruelty compelled me to act. I couldn’t stand by while decisions that affect people’s daily lives were driven by ideology and division.
I ran because leadership should be measured by compassion, competence, and common sense. A county commissioner should be someone who listens first, makes transparent decisions, and focuses on results: safer roads, reliable public services, responsible budgets, support for local businesses, and protecting basic dignity for everyone in our county.
If elected, I will bring three commitments to this office:
This campaign isn’t about one party or one person. It’s about restoring decency and competence to our government. It’s about making sure our county is a place where neighbors help neighbors, where public offices serve the public, and where decisions are made to improve people’s lives instead of ruin lives.
I’m asking for your trust and your vote so we can build a county government that works for everyone — not just the well-connected, the wealthiest, or the loudest voices.
Join me, and let’s get to work.
Thank you.
